Cookie Policy

The short version

Two things get stored on your device. The first keeps you signed in, and the site cannot work without it. The second is Google Analytics, and it does not load unless you say yes. You can change that answer further down this page at any time.

Essential cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. These come from Supabase, our authentication provider, and they are refreshed on each request so your session does not drop mid-visit. There is no version of a signed-in account that works without them, so the banner does not offer to turn them off. They are not used to follow you around other websites.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site so we can improve it. It sets cookies in your browser, gives your browser a random identifier, and tells Google which pages you visited here plus the ordinary request details any web server sees, including an approximate location worked out from your IP address.

It is off until you accept it. The Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics cookie is set unless you choose “Sure, go ahead” on the banner. Everything on the site works the same either way.

Things saved on your device that are not cookies

Your answer to the cookie banner is saved in your browser’s local storage, as is the display name you use in a live room. Neither is sent to us as a cookie, and clearing your browser data removes both.

No advertising cookies

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data.

Other services on our pages

• Vercel hosts the site, and Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights measure page performance. Both are cookieless and do not give you an identifier, so the banner does not gate them.
• Daily powers the video in a live session. It loads only on the session pages, once your cohort is in the room, and it operates under its own policy.

Your analytics setting

This is live for the browser you are reading in. Changing it takes effect straight away, and there is nothing to save or email us about.

Browser settings

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which covers every site rather than just this one. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and keep you out. If you would rather block Google Analytics everywhere, Google publishes an opt-out browser add-on.
